Raccoons are crafty pests. They’ll find suitable nesting sites on your shed, under it, and even in it if you let them! Typically they are hard to remove, especially when it’s breeding season. So we don’t recommend you tackle a raccoon problem yourself unless you know what you are doing.

Solution

The homeowner was seeking a clean up of the raccoon’s mess, but they also wanted a solution to keep them from coming back. 

There are a variety of options when looking to prevent raccoons from getting onto your shed, including pest guards, metal sheeting, and deterrent spikes. In this case we opted for small plastic spike strips that were adhered along the top edges of the shed. Lastly, any foliage in contact with the structure was cut back to help prevent easy roof access.
