Service Announcement Regarding COVID-19 Pandemic: March 17, 2020
We are currently open and providing valuable pest services at this time, and we can assure you that here at WSPC, we are taking the COVID-19 pandemic very seriously.
We are complying with all regulations as set out by the Public Health Service of Canada. All of our technicians have confirmed that they are all fully aware of the COVID-19 symptoms, and none have exhibited any of these symptoms at this time. All staff have been made aware that if they do they must inform the office, self-isolate immediately and call their health service provider. None of our technicians have not been out of the country, nor do they live with anyone who has been out of the country, for the last two weeks. All office staff are working from home to lower risk and remain safe and healthy.
In addition, all of our technicians are wearing masks where appropriate and have all sanitization products necessary to help prevent any spread of COVID-19. Our technicians carry with them disposable gloves, booties, hand sanitizer, respirators and coveralls, and have been instructed to use these as the situation requires.
Westside Pest Control recommends keeping recurring pest control programs in place as pests could increase in the absence of regular customers and workers. An increase in pests could pose an uphill challenge and health risk upon return to usual routines. We are happy to make special arrangements to meet with business representatives to provide access to properties and businesses would be otherwise closed.
From a pest control standpoint one of the most important measures that can be taken is to ensure a fully sanitized and spotless workplace upon closing down or reducing staff and customers. Mice and cockroaches survive and thrive on crumbs. If you are feeling challenged to ensure your facility/property is cleaned top to bottom to prevent pests, we are happy to quote for the service or provide advice on how to yourself ensure you are taking all steps to keep the pests under control in the absence of customers and staff.
We are confident that all precautions have been taken at WSPC to protect staff and customers from any possible COVID-19 contamination. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
